I’ve had a few people as me why don’t you monetize your website with ad sense. I’m thinking yuck this website not made for that particular vertical. That would be like Nike putting adsense on there website. Which granted this is a community driven website, but we our more focused on brand building then adsense ads. Which I’m not saying anything bad about adsense, but I wouldn’t recommended it for a new site, or a website thats more focused on brand building.

When you place them ads on your site your losing your conversions, and your brand. The ads destroy your brand. Now in the future we might start doing some advertising down the right for web directories and similar stuff to that. If your someone wanting to use ad sense try to focus strictly on a community driven website that has no services its a lot better this way, and don’t monetize your website right when you put it up it could be 1 year or so before you start to even think about monetizing it just depends on how hard you work at your markets.

This is where a lot of websites fail time, time, and time after time. Let me say that again time, time, and time after time websites fail repeat that in your head. Remember do not monetize your site in the beginning stages take all the krap off your website and get rid of it. Its hurting you more then anything you need to actually focus on what people are coming there for. I mean think of it are people visiting your website to click on ads and just watch ads?

No there coming for the viral content, so keep posting viral content, and participate in social media websites. Build the community and once the community starts to get bigger then you think of monetization. Also this includes any pay per post ads, text link ads, or anything that has to do with outside your brand. develop a brand and promote the image. I can’t be no clearer then that.
